Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of an Account Executive is to build a book of business through:

  • Prospecting and establishing referral partner relationships with professionals from the real estate and mortgage industries
  • Working with clients to understand their insurance needs, analyze options with a large carrier portfolio, and provide custom solutions to mitigate household risk

 

Licensing, Training, and Position Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty license is required (or if expired – must be obtained prior to or immediately upon starting)
  • Goosehead will cover one-time costs of all training courses and exam fees for qualified candidates without a license (Meaning you have previous experience selling property & casualty insurance)
  • This role is contingent upon passing the licensing exam, obtaining the state-issued license, and completing Goosehead’s in-depth training program
  • Account Executives receive comprehensive training in salesforce.com, business development, insurance sales, and more — no previous experience is required, but licensing is mandatory
  • Candidates with additional licenses (e.g., Life & Health) or multi-state licenses are strongly encouraged to apply

 

Compensation Summary

  • First-year average on-target earnings: $90,000+
  • Compensation includes a base salary + uncapped variable commissions
  • Eligible for renewal commissions year-over-year, providing passive income that increases with time

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (3.0 GPA or higher)
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required insurance licenses

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
